The Torfaen Community and Volunteer Awards return to celebrate our unsung heroes and selfless acts across the borough

Nomination Time remaining

Have you ever wanted to shout about the amazing qualities of someone who shows remarkable selflessness, devotion, and service to the community? Someone in your view who deserves the recognition they deserve.

Perhaps you want to highlight an organisation or group whose activities have given a buzz to the community? Or an individual who has gone above and beyond the call of duty, with a positive outlook and smile on their face? If so, now is the chance you have been waiting for!

Following the success of the first Torfaen Community and Volunteer Awards in October 2021, the TCVA (Torfaen Community and Volunteer Awards) has returned to bring Torfaen together once again and recognise those who regularly do good across the third sector, sport, business, and local community.

Nominations are open now and will close on the 31st July 2022 at Midnight.

TVA’s (Torfaen Voluntary Alliance) Operational Executive Officer Aimi Morris said: “TVA has seen a record number of organisations; community members and informal groups adapt their services to support so many people in various ways. Together with our partners at Aneurin Bevan University Health Board and other key partners from across the borough, these awards are an opportunity for us to highlight the huge impact volunteering has across Torfaen. Volunteers have supported so many people in need, which would have been impossible to achieve had we all worked in isolation. We’re proud, thankful, and indebted to those who stepped forward. I hope you will join us in thanking everyone using the hashtag #TorfaenSaysThanks. If you’ve been a volunteer or benefitted from volunteering, please get nominating and sharing that news with us across social media!”
