This webinar on ‘beyond covid-19: keeping your charity safe from fraud’ was presented as part of international charity fraud awareness week 2020.
The session highlighted what fraud and cybercrime could look like in the future from a range of different charity perspectives – small charities, large charities, counter fraud and finance professionals.
The Charity Commission has launched a new charity fraud website designed to give the voluntary sector information, advice and practical tools to fight fraud and stay safe from harm.
The new website is part of a joint initiative between the Charity Commission and the Fraud Advisory Panel, ahead of this year’s Charity Fraud Awareness week, which will take place from today (18th) to 22nd October.
The campaign aims to tackle fraud and cybercrime by raising awareness and sharing good practice. Anyone who wants to protect the sector and the vital work it does is being encouraged to get involved – including trustees, staff, volunteers and professional advisors.
