Brain Tumour Support Group

With partnership funding from Macmillan, Brain Tumour Support have been able to employ two specialist Brain Tumour Support Workers and has set up one of its first dedicated support group in South East Wales.

The range of support services, including monthly group meetings, are available for patients, families and carers affected by any type or grade of brain tumour, at any point from diagnosis and for as long as they are needed.

The new Cardiff Support Group will meet monthly, usually on the first Thursday of the month at 1.30pm – 3pm.  Dates for 2020 are:

2nd July
No meeting in August
3rd September
1st October
5th November
3rd December

Meetings will be held at: Maggie’s – Velindre Cancer Centre, Velindre Road, Whitchurch, Cardiff CF14 2TQ.

Anyone affected in any way by a brain tumour diagnosis is welcome. James and Steve, your Brain Tumour Support Workers, will be there to greet you. The group environment is relaxed and friendly, a mixture of chat, speakers and sharing of information and experience – with refreshments provided too!
