Nominate someone to attend a Buckingham Palace Garden Party in 2020

The Lord Lieutenant of Gwent is seeking your assistance in gathering nominations for the Royal Garden Parties at Buckingham Palace in 2020. The County is allocated 30 tickets which, with partners attending, comes to a total of 60 vacancies.

If you know of anyone who you think merits an invitation to a Garden Party, the Lord Lieutenant would be very grateful for your assistance in bringing them to his attention.  He will review all nominations in January 2020, and you will be informed of anyone successfully selected as and when the Lord Chamberlain confirms the list.

Nominees should cover public or voluntary activities and in totality reflect the diversity of the County and its full array of communities. Please note that an invitation to a Garden Party should not usually be a reward simply for long or meritorious employment; priority will go to those who have invested time and effort in public and/or voluntary service for the wider benefit of their community.

The criteria for attending is that a nominee should not have previously attended a Garden Party; they can be accompanied by a guest; and they must be British or European Union citizens and UK Residents.

The form you need to fill in to complete and return not later than Friday 13th December 2019 is attached. Please do not nominate more than 2 or 3 candidates;  and please do not mention to anyone you nominate that you are doing so.
