Volunteering

Our aim is to provide help and advice to volunteers, those who wish to start volunteering and voluntary organisations who recruit volunteers.

volhands

We form an essential part of TVA’s services, providing a referral service for anyone who wishes to become a volunteer. We are in touch with a wide variety of organisations that are helped by volunteers, and have over 200 volunteering opportunities on our files. We are constantly seeking to widen the variety of opportunities we can offer so would love to hear from organisations who need volunteers.

Volunteering can build your confidence, teach you new skills, keep you active and improve your employment prospects and social life.

Millenium Volunteers

MV has been running since 1998 and in that time over 16,500 young people aged 14 to 25 in Wales have been involved. The aim of the programme is very simple – to recognise the contribution that young volunteers make to organisations across Wales.

This is done through the use of 50, 100 and 200 hour certificates, the last of these signed by the First Minister of Wales. It looks good on your CV, it is fun to get involved and it only asks that you give your time – there are no exams and you can use an interest or a hobby you have already as a starting point. If you are 14 to 25 and you would like to find out more information then please contact Kyle Thomas on 01495 742475.

All our volunteering opportunities can be found online by visiting the Volunteering Wales.
