Carers Trust Wales – Summer Gathering

Carers Trust Wales will this summer be hosting the biggest gathering of carers aged 16-25 ever in Wales. Young adult carers are young people who care, unpaid, for a friend or family member who could not cope without their support. We’re very fortunate to be able to host a two-day residential for young adult carers for free on 23/24 June at Trinity St. David, Carmarthen. It will offer young adult carers a unique opportunity for an always important break from caring, as well as the chance to meet other young adult carers and experience university life first-hand. ACTivate your Life Thursday evening – 5:15pm-7:15pm – commencing 4th June for 4 weeks Venue: The Power Station Cwmbran Torfaen Primary Care Mental Health Support Service will be delivering the first of a programme of 4 classes called “ACTivate your Life”. The classes will teach attendees How your mind works How your reactions may be making problems worse How to make wise choices How to do what matters to you How to face up to life The classes are free and are open to ANYONE in the community who wishes to attend – no assessment, no registration and no waiting list – just turn up, listen and learn. ACTivate your Life worksheets will be supplied in order to build your own ACT toolkit.
