Gwent Wide Provider Fair The Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner for Gwent, along with Torfaen Voluntary Alliance (TVA) and Gwent Association of Voluntary Organisations (GAVO) are organising a Gwent Wide Third Sector Provider Fair, for community organisations to showcase their services to Commissioners from Safer Gwent, Gwent Strategic Commissioning Board, the five Local Authorities (Blaenau Gwent, Caerphilly, Monmouthshire, Newport and Torfaen), Gwent Police, South Wales Fire and Aneurin Bevan Health Board. Tenovus Cancer Care Volunteering Opportunities in Torfaen Saturday 19th September 2015 – Singathon, Cwmbran Tenovus Cancer Care is looking for lots of fun and friendly people to volunteer as bucket collectors for a couple of hours at their Singathon at the Bandstand in Gwent Square. Choirs and musicians will be performing throughout the day, from around 10.00am until 5.00pm and they are looking for volunteers to spare a couple of hours that day to help fundraise with Tenovus and enjoy the performances. Torfaen Youth Grant aim to support a range of small volunteering projects and activities, led and carried out by young people, with applications selected and recommended by a panel of young people aged 14-25. The GwirVol Youth Led Grants scheme aims to prioritise delivery of volunteering opportunities with and for a diverse range of young people (aged 14-25) and particularly: Young people from disadvantaged communities: Communities First areas and Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic communities. Young people with physical or learning disabilities. Requests for up to a maximum of £1000 will be considered.
