Lauren Swain, Localgiving’s South Wales Development Manager, is offering free training for local groups around online fundraising, as well as sharing about Localgiving’s new programme in Wales. Through the support of the Big Lottery Fund, Localgiving can work with 250 local community groups across Wales over the next two years to help diversify their income through online fundraising. This years the SARA Lifeboat and Mountain Rescue Centre at Chepstow will be open to visitors on Sunday 18th June.. Apart from “State of the Art” rescue equipment there will be a lifeboat launch demonstration and “participation … Steep Ground” rescue skills… Fundraising stalls, Ice Cream and Barbecue Burgers too. The Millennium Stadium Charitable Trust was established through an agreement between the Millennium Stadium plc and the Millennium Commission when the Stadium was built and it aims to improve the quality of life of people who live and work in Wales. Grants of up to £7,500 are available for not-for-profit organisations in Wales that have a remit to serve a region or local authority-wide area.
