“Dad and Me” Forum The “Dad and Me “forum is going from strength to strength with 43 Dads attending with 55 children. The forum is delivered in partnership with Torfaen Play, Families First and Communities First.   Four forums have taken place to date at Greenmeadow Community Farm which is an ideal venue as the Dads take their children around the farm after the session.   The forum also enables dads to spend quality time playing with their children as well the opportunity to meet other Dads and find out information, support and guidance. Blaen Bran Community Woodland. What is Blaen Bran all about? Well its 100 acres of amazing Welsh woodland above Upper Cwmbran for the use of the whole community. We are a charity predominantly relying on volunteers to run events and to maintain and manage the woods. Blaen Bran may be the only community run woodland in Wales to have planted an arboretum, which features species native to South Wales. This area alone is of amazing educational value, and in addition we have a forest school facility known as Parsons Wood. So how can you all get involved? Carers Trust Wales will this summer be hosting the biggest gathering of carers aged 16-25 ever in Wales. Young adult carers are young people who care, unpaid, for a friend or family member who could not cope without their support. We’re very fortunate to be able to host a two-day residential for young adult carers for free on 23/24 June at Trinity St. David, Carmarthen. It will offer young adult carers a unique opportunity for an always important break from caring, as well as the chance to meet other young adult carers and experience university life first-hand.
