Happiness Pulse Survey

22nd January 2018 Callum Jones 0

Torfaen Public Services Board has launched a Happiness Pulse survey.  The simple online survey will give you a happiness score and tips on how to be happier and links to organisations that can help. The Well- being of Future Generations Act 2016 has led public services in Wales to think long-term, work better with people and communities and each other, look to prevent problems and take a more joined-up approach. Public Service Boards are implementing this with the publication of Well-being Plans in May 2018. The Happiness Pulse survey will tell us a story about Torfaen, what individuals and communities are doing, how they are feeling and what they need to thrive. The information can then be used to inform the PSB’s Well-being plan. Take […]

Public Spaces Protection Orders (dog controls)

22nd November 2017 Callum Jones 0

Torfaen council is asking residents to have their say on changes to dog controls in the borough. Currently it is an offence to fail to remove dog fouling on any land to which the public has access, or to allow dogs onto school grounds, designated play areas or marked sports pitches. Dogs are also excluded from the lapwing breeding area near Garn Lakes Nature Reserve in Blaenavon. Under a new Public Spaces Protection Order (PSPO) failure to remove dog fouling would remain an offence, but the current dog exclusion zones would be revised to reduce the number from around 250 to 150. School grounds, designated play areas, marked sports pitches and the lapwing breeding area would remain exclusion zones but many of these areas will […]

We are committed to improving and reforming public services and building a united, connected and sustainable Wales. We are keen to hear views from as many people as possible about a new approach to building resilient communities across Wales, supporting and enabling them to prosper. As well as asking for your views on how […]
