Rural Community Development Fund

The Rural Community Development Fund (RCDF) offers grants which are primarily aimed at LEADER Local Action Groups and other community-based organisations. The grants will provide investment funding for a wide range of activities to help meet local needs and strengthen communities so that they can grow and thrive. Able Radio – Volunteers Needed

Based in Upper Cwmbran, Able is a unique project for adults with autism and learning disabilities. Creativity underpins all activities in their large facility which includes radio studios and designated activity zones. Staff support service users in developing their skills and confidence. Opportunities exist for focussed volunteers to get involved in all aspects of operations. Volunteering at Able offers a genuine chance to improve the lives of people by providing guidance and support in their chosen activity. Torfaen Youth Grant 2016

Torfaen Youth Grant aim to support a range of small volunteering projects and activities, led and carried out by young people, with applications selected and recommended by a panel of young people aged 14-25. The GwirVol Youth Led Grants scheme  aims to prioritise delivery of volunteering opportunities with and for a diverse range of young people (aged 14-25) and particularly: Young people from disadvantaged communities: Communities First areas and Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic communities. Young people with physical or learning disabilities. Requests for up to a maximum of £1000 will be considered. All funding received must be spent by the end of February 2017.
