The 12 week period of consultation opened on Monday 16th October 2017 and will close on Sunday 7th January 2018. We will be pleased to receive your views on the draft plan and our high level areas for action, through the on-line survey. Torfaen Youth Led Grant aims to support a range of small volunteering projects and activities, led and carried out by young people, with applications selected and recommended by a panel of young people aged 14-25. The Torfaen Youth Led Grants scheme aims to prioritise delivery of volunteering opportunities with and for a diverse range of young people (aged 14-25) and particularly: Young people from disadvantaged communities Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic communities. Young people with physical or learning disabilities. Young people volunteering through the medium of Welsh Requests for up to a maximum of £1000 will be considered. Torfaen Youth Grant aim to support a range of small volunteering projects and activities, led and carried out by young people, with applications selected and recommended by a panel of young people aged 14-25. Last year the Youth Grants Panel funded five youth led projects in Torfaen: Blaenavon PACT Youth Panel used the money to decorate the Doorway Youth information centre, whilst helping upskill youth with practical skills. Torfaen Changing Minds used the money to help run peer support groups for young people with mental health Issues. Tofaen Young People’s Forum used the grant money to promote the Youth forum work with leaflets and flyers and to help with recruitment.
