Community Facilities Programme (Wales) Description – Grants are available for community-led voluntary and community sector organisations to develop and improve community facilities in Wales in order to tackle poverty and its effects. Current Status – Open for Applications Maximum value: – £ 500,000 Objectives of Fund – The aim of the Programme is to develop and improve facilities for communities in order to tackle poverty and its effects. Value Notes – Grants of up to £500,000 are available. Applications for under £10,000 will not usually be considered. Match Funding Restrictions – Applications for 100% funding will only be considered in exceptional circumstances where projects can demonstrate that funding was not available elsewhere. The Heritage Lottery Fund is providing pre-application information workshops across the UK in preparation for the launch of its new £10 million Kick the Dust grants programme on 23 September. The Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF) will open its new Kick the Dust grants programme which is intended to support ambitious youth-focused projects that transform how heritage organisations engage with young people (aged 11 to 25 years). Home Office Launches Hate Crime Community Project Fund for England and Wales

The Home Office is making £300,000 available to community-led organisations or consortia that work with groups who are vulnerable to hate crime for innovative community projects that prevent hate crime in England and Wales. Hate crimes are crimes that are motivated by hostility on the grounds of race (including colour, nationality and citizenship, religion, ethnicity and national origin), disability, sexual orientation and gender identity. The Home Office is looking for motivated and creative community groups or consortia to develop innovative programmes that help to prevent hate crime and issues associated with it. Heritage Lottery Fund’s Heritage Endowments Grants Scheme Open to Applications Launch of new HLF Heritage Endowments scheme. The Heritage Lottery Fund’s new Heritage Endowments grant scheme supports heritage organisations to build an endowment, which will provide an annual income over the long term and create a lasting source of financial support. Postcode Dream Trust – Dream Fund 2017 Launches (GB) Charities in England, Scotland and Wales are eligible to apply for funding to deliver the project they have always dreamed of, but never had the opportunity to bring to life. All applications must come from at least two organisations that have joined forces to deliver an innovative project. The lead organisation must be a registered charity.
