Eligibility In order to apply for this grant programme applicants must be a local older people’s group in Wales. An older people’s group is understood to be an organised group of older people meeting regularly for social, recreational and other mutually beneficial purposes. Torfaen Voluntary Alliance is pleased to announce that a day of pre-booked funding advice appointments has been arranged in collaboration with the Big Lottery Fund for its National Lottery Awards for All Wales (A4AW) and People and Places (P&P) funding programmes. A4AW awards grants are between £300 and £10,000, and P&P between £10,001 to £100,000 (Medium) and £100,001 to £500,000 (Large). Voluntary and community groups working in the Torfaen area are welcome to sign-up for a half-hour appointment to talk with a Big Lottery Fund officer to discuss their proposed project ideas. The Early Intervention Youth Fund has been launched by the Home Secretary to support projects which steer young people away from violent crime. The Home Office is providing up to £22 million of funding over the next two financial years (2018/19-2019/20) to support communities in tackling serious violence. The Home Office is inviting bids from Police and Crime Commissioners, working in partnership with their community safety partnerships or local equivalent.
