Volunteer Coordinator – St David’s Hospice Care
Part time 22.5 hours per week, 6 month fixed term contract
(funded by WCVA)
We are looking for an energetic and enthusiastic person to lead the recruitment of new volunteers and to help facilitate their integration within St David’s Hospice. You will work with department managers and team members to identify the volunteer support they need and you will promote these opportunities through the appropriate advertising methods including social media and contacts within our existing support groups.
You will be responsible for the recruitment and induction of all new volunteers and will work with local businesses and communities to advertise and promote any opportunities we have available. You will maintain a database of all volunteers and will ensure our records are kept up to date.
This role requires an individual with excellent communication skills who is able to work on their own initiative. Good organisation and time management skills are essential to succeeding in this role. Previous experience of working within the charity sector would be highly advantageous.
You will require a full clean driving license and have the use of a car, and you must be computer literate.
We rely heavily on the involvement of volunteers in all aspects of our organisation so the appointment of a dedicated coordinator will greatly assist in a smooth transition throughout their volunteering journey.
