NHS call for stories – social history of the NHS

Public Spaces Protection Orders (dog controls)

Torfaen council is asking residents to have their say on changes to dog controls in the borough. Currently it is an offence to fail to remove dog fouling on any land to which the public has access, or to allow dogs onto school grounds, designated play areas or marked sports pitches. Dogs are also excluded from the lapwing breeding area near Garn Lakes Nature Reserve in Blaenavon. Under a new Public Spaces Protection Order (PSPO) failure to remove dog fouling would remain an offence, but the current dog exclusion zones would be revised to reduce the number from around 250 to 150. St David’s Hospice Care are looking for a team of marshal volunteers to cover the route between, Llanyrafon Manor, Cwmbran Boating Lake, North & south Fields. Sat. 25 Nov.
