Awards for All Wales Welcomes Applications from Priority Groups The Big Lottery Fund has added three groups to its priorities list for Wales. Awards for All is a National Lottery funded programme operated by the Big Lottery Fund throughout Wales. Grants of between £500 and £5,000 are available for local voluntary and community organisations, schools, community and town councils and health bodies in Wales to help improve local communities and the lives of people most in need. Earlier this year, the Big Lottery Fund added the following groups to its priorities list for Wales: New organisations. Organisations with an annual income of less than £15,000. On Thursday 20th June 2017 we are holding the first ever regional service user consultation event to coincide with the launch of the Gwent Supporting People Service User Engagement Website, the first of its kind in Wales! We would like to invite organisations to have stands promoting their services at this event, which is being held at Pontypool Active Living Centre (PALC) from 1pm to 3:30pm, with set up of stands from 12 o’clock. Lauren Swain, Localgiving’s South Wales Development Manager, is offering free training for local groups around online fundraising, as well as sharing about Localgiving’s new programme in Wales. Through the support of the Big Lottery Fund, Localgiving can work with 250 local community groups across Wales over the next two years to help diversify their income through online fundraising. It is an entirely free opportunity, which includes the following: A year’s free Localgiving membership (usually £72) for charitable groups Access to gift aid on all donations (an extra 25%), whether they are registered charities or not A free package of training and 1:1 support in online fundraising £200 matchfunding for every group that signs up to the programme, making that first ‘ask’ easier Opportunities to access […]
Torfaen Youth Grant aim to support a range of small volunteering projects and activities, led and carried out by young people, with applications selected and recommended by a panel of young people aged 14-25. Last year the Youth Grants Panel funded five youth led projects in Torfaen: Blaenavon PACT Youth Panel used the money to decorate the Doorway Youth information centre, whilst helping upskill youth with practical skills. Torfaen Changing Minds used the money to help run peer support groups for young people with mental health Issues. Tofaen Young People’s Forum used the grant money to promote the Youth forum work with leaflets and flyers and to help with recruitment.
