Gwent Wide Provider Fair
The Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner for Gwent, along with Torfaen Voluntary Alliance (TVA) and Gwent Association of Voluntary Organisations (GAVO) are organising a Gwent Wide Third Sector Provider Fair, for community organisations to showcase their services to Commissioners from Safer Gwent, Gwent Strategic Commissioning Board, the five Local Authorities (Blaenau Gwent, Caerphilly, Monmouthshire, Newport and Torfaen), Gwent Police, South Wales Fire and Aneurin Bevan Health Board.
The Gwent Wide Third Sector Provider Fair is in response to The Social Services and Well-being (Wales) Act 2014, The Well-being of Future Generations (Wales) Act 2015 and in the spirit of Statutory Compact Agreements favoured by the Welsh government – whereby Statutory organisations are encouraged to develop services with the Third Sector, for the people of Wales.
Reasons why Third Sector organisations should attend:
Showcase services to a wide range of Statutory Commissioners from around Gwent.
Develop working relationship with local Commissioners/Buyers
Networking among other Third Sector Organisations to compliment the services of other providers e.g. Drug Aid and Mind
Develop Consortia agreements with other Third Sector providers for specific contracts
Recognise the wide range of services on offer within the Gwent area
Presentations will be given by Eleanor Marks, Deputy Director of Communities Division at the Welsh Government and the Wales Co-op.
Therefore you are cordially invited to attend the Gwent Wide Third Sector Provider Fair: Tuesday 13th October at the Christchurch Centre, Newport.
